Risk and Operations Manager
Has a master’s degree in Energy Engineering and received and undergraduate degree in Physics, both from Tecnológico de Monterrey. In this new role, Javier, who is fluent in English and Spanish, will be accountable for risk management analyses for national and multinational accounts in Mexico. He will develop, review, and approve energy contracts, customer audits, energy procurement RFPs, and present alternative options to clients on how to mitigate risks.
Javier brings extensive experience as an energy analyst from CEMEX, a global construction material company. While in that role, he was responsible for supporting energy project shareholders with billing and contract commitments, managing conventional and renewable energy portfolios within self-supply, and forecasting and optimizing energy supply contracts. During his tenure, he also led the development and implementation of energy automation management processes, designed to improve efficiency, lower costs and enhance data-driven decision making for the operations team.
