Cecilia Macias is a Corporate Controller with Acclaim Energy. She is a professional Accountant with a background in General Accounting and Business Administration. Cecilia got her start in the accounting industry while studying college, where she interned for a position in the treasury department of Club Tigres soccer team, managed by Sinergia Deportiva, a CEMEX business unit. Before graduating, she also worked as part of the administrative department for Desarrollos Delta, a property management company, where she developed a strong customer service-oriented attitude and problem-solving abilities.

After she graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León with a Public Accounting degree (2012), she joined Base22 IT Consulting Firm, as a junior accountant. There, her duties were to help with month closing related activities and office management. After a couple of years in this position, she got involved in the US business unit within Base22 and started performing activities such as record of expenses, accounts receivable, revenue recognition, cash flow management, and financial reporting. Her 9-year experience working with a corporation with activities in the US and Mexico, has allowed her to easily navigate the financial world of both countries, helping them to fulfill their long-term and short-term goals.

In addition to being an Accountant, she acted as a tutor and provided guidance to disadvantaged children between the ages of 8 and 10 in the PERAJ (Adopta un amigo) association, as social labor. As a personal interest, she considers herself a foodie and truly enjoys cooking and trying new recipes for her family and friends.
