Erika Ramírez is from Guadalajara, Jal., Mexico, and she has a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Development Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).
During her studies, she had the chance to pursue some courses in the engineering program at Riga’s Technical University in Riga, Latvia. Later she was part of the first group of professionals of the Green Transformation Program specialized in circular economy, which was coordinated by Vertech and Sustainable Innovations in Madrid, Spain, and Paris, France, respectively.
In 2019 she began her professional experience as an Innovation and Development Intern at Alpek, a leading company in the Latin American market dedicated mainly to the manufacture of PET and PTA. Her main responsibility in this position was the development of life cycle assessments for some of the products developed and promoted by the innovations team.
Later, in 2019, she joined Banverde and began her professional career in the renewable energy sector in Mexico as a Junior Operations Engineer. In said position, she dedicated herself to the development and supervision of photovoltaic projects in Distributed Generation through PPAs with minimum capacities of 50 kWp and maximum capacities of 650 kWp, developing technical condition analysis, bidding, construction, interconnection, and operation of the project.
In 2022 she became the operations head and manager in Banverde where she developed strategic business relationships for the company with distributors and integrators, implemented processes and performance indicators for the operations team, and managed a project portfolio of 11 MWp.
Currently, Erika is part of the Acclaim Energy team as an Operations Analyst, where her main functions are to support the commercial team by analyzing prospect information and preparing service proposals aligned with the needs and objectives of the client’s business.
In her free time, Erika enjoys doing physical activity and sports and continuing her comprehensive preparation through various certifications such as photovoltaic installations in residences, commerce, and industry standards, and phyton programming certifications.
